Doesn’t it feel like Spring is one of the busiest times of the year? I’ve been travelling a lot between NYC, Jacksonville and California. I do love travelling, but some of my favorite times this month were spent here in Tampa! We’ve partnered with amazing people who are making a difference in Tampa Bay and I’m excited to tell you about them.
Last Wednesday we spent a few hours with Vinny Lecavalier, a few of his Lightning teammates, and a group of Tampa Bay locals. These men and women care so much about funding research and bringing hope to kids with cancer that they shaved their heads to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. This was a really cool opportunity for us, but what really got me was watching kids shave their hair for a friend with cancer, and the dad who shaved for his daughter. We met some awesome kids going through hard circumstances and we were honored to be a part of what The Vincent Lecavalier Foundation is doing to make a difference. Here’s a photo from the event:
With 14 days left, they’ve already raised $383,271 for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. If you want to team up with The Vincent Lecavalier Foundation or the Pediatric Cancer Foundation you can get more info HERE.
Last weekend was all about education! Most of the PureArtists (Pureology Educators) from the Eastern USA & Canada were in Tampa for two days of training. A few of us spent Sunday prepping at the salon (pictured below). Travis even spent some time refining his formal styling skills. Do you like his fishtail braid inspired look?
If you’re old enough to remember the 1990’s, you definitely want to watch Daytime on NBC next Wednesday April 24th from 10-11am. Yesterday I was at the WFLA studios talking to Cyndi about how the 90’s trends are influencing hair today. Don’t believe me? You’ll have to watch on Wednesday!
Yours in style,
